Our DIY this month is similar to our chalk wine bottle tutorial here. But these would be so stinking cute for back to school gifts and/or storage! Just find or buy a Mason jar. Spray paint with primer. Let that dry, and then paint over it with chalkboard paint. Our favorite chalkboard paint is Benjamin Moore, available at Hometown Lumber. Wait a few days, and then condition it by rubbing chalk all over it. Wipe that off and then draw on it and/or go over the raised areas with chalk again. Then fill it will school supplies (or flowers, because I like to put flowers in/on everything :)).IMG_2277

Happy August!
